I Imagine Life Membership Protection Rules

The Membership Protection Rules is the hub to the protection rules that you assign to your members, non-members, and visitors. This guide walks you through the Membership Protection Rules.

There are four tabs for Membership Protection Rules:

You can change your view to display all pages, categories, menu items, custom post type, and comments from all members or a specific types of membership only.

To change this view, select a membership type from the choices provided. The links are shown in this area:

Pages

The Pages tab enables you to apply protection to Pages and grant access to members. All pages that do not have Content Protection applied are visible to everyone.

By default, the Pages tab shows you all the pages on your website and the members who have access to them:

You can also change your view to Unprotected pages or Protected pages.

You can filter the dates when a page has been published. Select a date and click Filter.

Change Member Access

To change access to pages, select a page and click Modify Access.

Choose membership type.

Edit or View Pages

When you’re unsure about the contents of a page and what information it contains, you can edit it or view it through the Pages tab. Viewing a page before modifying its access for members can help you determine which access type is better assigned to it.

Search a Page

You can also search a page. Enter name of page and click Search Pages.

Custom Post Types

The Custom Post Types tab enables you to choose which Custom Post Types you want to protect.

By default, this tab shows you all the custom post types on your website and the members who have access to them (as seen in the image above).

You can also change your view to Unprotected or Protected custom post types.

Change Member Access

To change access to custom post types, select one and click Modify Access.

Choose membership type.

Comments and More Tag

The Comments and More Tag tab enables you to decide how to protect Comments and More Tag contents. By default, this tab shows you all content parts on your website and the members who have access to them:

To change access to comments from specific content parts, select one and click Modify Access.

Choose membership type.

Menu Items

The Menu Items Tag tab enables you to protect individual menu items. By default, this tab shows you all the menu items on your website, its menu type, and the members who have access to them:
